La carte mondiale des réseaux sociaux

Même sur le web, la conquête du monde se fait un pays à la fois, pas à pas. Bien que Facebook soit devenu le réseau social le plus important au monde, devançant MySpace, il n’a pas encore conquis la planète entière. Voici une carte réalisée par Vincenzo Cosenza qui montre la domination de Facebook dans le monde ainsi que la présence de ses concurrents ou équivalents locaux.

Cette carte a été réalisée grâce aux infos provenant de Alexa et Google Trend (pas Comscore hélas). En vert les territoires conquis par Facebook; la majorité; mais il existe des poches de résistance en Russie (V Kontakte), Chine (QQ), Brésil et Inde (Orkut), Amérique Centrale, Pérou, Mongolie, et Thailande (hi5), Corée du sud (Cyworld), Japon (Mixi), Moyen-orient (Maktoob), et aux Philippines (Friendster).
